Mikayla Umin created CRU and became a certified agency owner in October 2024. Mikayla has a background in a variety of settings including Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism, Autism Personal Coaching, Adult Day Program, Home Personal Care, Public School Settings, Behavioral Health and Home Based Therapy. Mikayla graduated from KSU with a BA in Psychology in 2011 and has taken all that she has learned to create CRU: Community Integration Services for those who seek community connections. Mikayla is married to Mike and together they have 3 children: Finn, Arlo and Moxie. The Umin’s also have 2 dogs named Penny Lane & Kylo, & 2 cats (Maxwell and Moné).

Michael Umin (pictured above) joined Mikayla and CRU in September of 2025.

Mike also has a background in a variety of settings including being a classroom behavioral therapist at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism, Lake County Board of DD as an Autism Specialist for the Imagine Program, and a Support Administrator for Cuyahoga County board of DD(Congregate & Housing).

During his time at Lake County board of DD, Mike was also a CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) instructor for 4 years.

He graduated from the University of Toledo with a BA in Psychology and Communications in 2011.

He also worked as a DJ during college, working in Toledo and Put N Bay.

Mike enjoys all things comic books, 80’s and 90’s alternative music, pro wrestling, Star Wars & Lord of the Rings. He loves to see movies and play video games with his family.

Mike and Mikayla met in 2014 and married in 2017.
